About the Role

Summary: Serve as Project Leader responsible for the overall management, control, coordination, and execution of assigned projects provided by Laconic and their associated environmental monitoring services and products.
The organizational location of this position is: Project Location
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for managing the efficient coordination and accomplishment of the planning, scope, development, design, and direction of major projects.
• Performs as the project leader, implements corporate decisions, guidance, laws, regulations, and policy in the development of the project and intermediate products in support of the project.
• Coordinates the planning, design, cost, etc., for projects of substantial scope and complexity as measured by the geographical area, management demands, technical intricacies, and public issues.
• Primary point of contact for projects assigned with sponsor/customer; foreign federal, state, and local government agencies, interest; other external organizations, and higher authorities.
• Manage concurrent work efforts to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery, as well as achievement of targeted benefits; and perform this work with an eye on customer satisfaction, anticipating the needs of the project sponsors and delivering on those needs proactively and with a high degree of quality.
• Apply full lifecycle project management processes and tools using Laconic’s project management philosophies, from project initiation and planning, through execution and closure.
• Ensures all environmental monitoring and survey activities are properly coordinated and conducted within established policies and procedures, laws and regulations, and executed safely.

Requirements

Required Experience:

  • One year of specialized experience at mid-level management level, which includes working with Project Management processes and policies of assigned projects; managing the efficient and effective coordination and accomplishment of the planning, scoping, design, construction, and direction of assigned projects; managing project milestones and budgets of assigned projects.

  • For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

  • VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
