Every year we create a massive 2.12 billion tons of waste. If all this waste was put on trucks they would reach around the world 24 times. This stunning volume is partly due to the fact that 99 percent of what we buy is discarded within 6 months.

We're treating a finite planet as if its resources were infinite. Meanwhile, our richest and often smartest people are on a giddy race to conquer space, at the cost of many billions of dollars. We're not against going to space, but we question the focus on investing so much into visiting a dead planet when our own living one is being destroyed at devastating rates.

‘No trash on Mars’ is our first campaign to highlight human ingenuity, from the beginnings of tool use to today’s hyper-consumerist waste generation.

The film is offered as a provocation to each of us, along with a question of how we use our own resources in activities that- in many cases- have little benefit to the only planet we call home. Is going to Mars worth it, when we have so many problems here?
